Frequently Asked Questions
This document provides answers to some of the most commonly asked questions…
What products do you use?
To ensure that there is no damage to clothing no oils are used during the Aura™ massage treatments. The massages take place above light clothing so there is also no need to undress.
How long do the treatments last?
The massage treatments can range from 5 – 30 minutes in duration and the more people there are the shorter the massages tend to be. For example a small office of 20 people would often have 15 or 20 minute massages whereas a call centre with 500 employees would tend to have just 5 or 10 minute treatments.
What will we need to provide?
If you have chosen for the massages to take place at people’s desks then no equipment is required, simply point the therapists in the right direction and they will begin to work their magic.
If the treatments are taking place in a designated room or at an event e.g. a trade show or exhibition, please ensure that a suitable chair is available. The ideal chair is comfortable to sit in, has no wheels and is height adjustable. Chairs with lower back rests are also preferred as these give better access to the recipient’s upper back area.
Please also ensure that your therapists have access to refreshments such as water and toilets.
What medical conditions would prevent a person receiving a treatment?
Before any treatment is given your therapist will ask several health questions to ensure that the treatment is suitable for the client. The therapist will apply their usual professional discretion and will politely decline anyone that the treatment is not suitable for. The following conditions are contra-indicated:
History of Thrombosis, Heart Problems, Epilepsy, Diabetes, Skin Disorders or Infections, Haemophilia, Fever, Pregnancy, Viral Infection, Swelling, Cuts, Burns, Recent Fractures, Recent Operations, Recent Scar Tissue, Cancer, Undiagnosed Pain or Lumps,
People with one or more of the above medical conditions should seek advice from their G.P. before considering any form of massage therapy. Treatment is also not advisable for anyone who has been consuming large quantities of alcohol.
After care advice
It is recommended to drink plenty of water after the treatment to replace lost fluids and avoid dehydration. This will help eliminate the toxins from your body. Avoiding alcohol, smoking and excessive tea or coffee drinking is also recommended as these can have a dehydrating effect.
What breaks do we need to allow for?
Ensuring the heath and safety of your therapist whilst at your premises includes ensuring they take sufficient breaks.
Each therapist decides when they will require a break and they will discuss this with the designated point of contact to ensure that all scheduled massage treatments run efficiently and on time. As massage therapy is physically demanding and to protect against joint injuries such as RSI all therapists are able to take upto an hour and fifteen minutes for a full day booking (6 hours of hands on massage), 40 minutes for 4 hours, 30 minutes for 3 hours and a 15 minute break for all 2 hour bookings.
If for any reason a therapist takes an extended break they will confirm whether this is acceptable with the point of contact before hand and finish slightly later to ensure that you have received all of your booked massage time.
What if a therapist arrives late?
Therapists endeavout to arrive 10 – 15 minutes early so that they can be ready to start on time and to date, our therapists have been extremely reliable. We are all human however and things can go wrong where travel is involved. If a therapist does arrive late they will usually stay longer to make up for the lost time. If this is not possible then Five Minute Angels will arrange a refund or credit for the shortfall in time.
When will I have to pay the invoice?
Payment will normally be taken when the booking is placed and all payments must be received no later than 7 days prior to the event date.
Are there discounts if I want to make this a regular booking?
Yes. Weekly, fortnightly and monthly bookings are all subject to a 5% reduction in our normal prices with all 6 month contracts and a 10% reduction with all 12 month contracts. Simply speak with your bookings manager to discuss organising your regular visits.
How do I give feedback?
After your visit you will receive an email with a link to an online feedback form which may be used to provide feedback on your recent experience.
We are always pleased to hear feedback from therapist visits and your testimonials. Email us the photos from your event and the lucky ones will be added to the Five Minute Angels blog. The very best entries will win four hours of on site massage heaven absolutely FREE.
